Prince and Michael Jackson fans go toe-to-toe on the dance floor as dj's mix album cuts, remixes, rare tracks and classics from their extensive collections to battle it out on the turntables.
The Prince and Michael Experience is meant to celebrate the music of two of the biggest pop cultural icons of our generation. It is done with love and mutual respect for both artists.

This dance party event features music from Prince, Michael, The Time, The Jackson 5, Sheila E., Janet Jackson, Vanity 6 and many more. Who will win, The Purple One or the King of Pop? Who cares... this is the perfect night out to lounge with your friends, make some new friends, get your drink on, dance your @ss off and celebrate the music of both these pop stars.
The experience is presented by bombhiphop.com who have successfully produced 99 of these events in San Francisco as well as Oakland, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Bend, Vancouver and Chicago.

"For EIGHT years now, Dave Paul (proprietor of hip-hop label Bomb Records) has hosted and DJ'ed at the brilliant "Prince vs. Michael Jackson" parties. As selections of hits, rarities, and remixes from both artists are presented over the course of the evening, audience members square off in funky battle, holding signs bearing the mug of their favored entertainer to judge which one is the true king of pop. This sure ain't the place for cynics, but Darling Nikki's and Dirty Diana's are all welcome to participate." - SF WEEKLY

Dave Paul began his music career in 1984, starting as a mobile dj and evolving into a prominent college radio dj, club dj, and remixer in San Francisco. One of his 45 minute reel-to-reel megamixes was featured on commercial radio station KMEL. During the late 80s and early 90s his weekly radio show "Beat Box Fridays" on college radio station KCSF was instrumental in breaking many hip-hop records in the Bay Area market. Utilizing various pseudonyms Paul has produced records, created the worlds first scratch tool for digital dj's (The Ultimate Scratch CD), and remixed the classic song Cavern by Liquid Liquid (Let's Hear It For the B-Boy Remix) for the UK label Mo Wax. In 1991 he launched the now legendary publication The Bomb Hip-Hop Magazine and in 1995 Paul transformed the magazine into a record label. The company was named "one of the fifteen independent labels that matter" according to Rolling Stone and the labels Return of the DJ series was ranked by Spin Magazine as #25 in their "The 90 Greatest Albums of the 90's" (Sept. 1999 issue), receiving a higher rating than Gold & Platinum albums by Lauryn Hill, Pearl Jam, Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, Metallica, Green Day and Fatboy Slim. Dave Paul has been featured in URB magazine, XLR8R, appeared on the front cover of Billboard, and is featured in the motion picture Scratch. Mr. Paul has dj'ed throughout the US, toured Europe and the UK, released over 90 projects on his record label and currently produces themed dj parties including the 8 year running Prince vs Michael Experience.

Beginning his professional music career in 1985, Jeff Harris established himself as one of the top DJ's in Northern California. First with the prominent mobile music company Good Vibrations, remaining with the organization until 1990. Jeff is a veteran of over 1,000 performances as a mobile and club DJ. Specializing in weddings, Mr. Harris is also highly skilled in performing at corporate events, anniversaries, birthday parties, nightclubs, and other special events requiring professional music entertainment. While attending college Jeff became the Music Director of influential college station KCSF, helping to establish the CHR-urban/Hip Hop radio format that would be adapted by P-1 radio giant KMEL to which Jeff Harris served as a consultant to the programmers during the early 90's. From radio, Jeff crossed over into the record business in 1991 working for major label Polygram Group Distribution, followed by marketing & promotion stints for Allegro Corporation and Innovative Distribution Network.
