Scratch Attack Vol. 2: the second CD compilation from the acclaimed radio show Scratch Attack: I Want My Battle Record Back You Bastard is a mixture of live DJ tracks (from KPFA and Vulcan.com between 2001/2002) and studio DJ tracks (most recorded especially for the show) plus various interview/spoken word excerpts (“Bonus Tracks”) from the skratch themed radio show whose regular hosts included Billy Jam, Bas-1, DJ Pone, Yve-1, DJ Munkifunk, and DJ Platurn. Like the first Scratch Attack CD collection its cover art/illustration is again courtesy of the amazingly talented artist Doug Cunningham (aka Dug-One) whose impressive credits include being the art director & character illustrator for the critically acclaimed animated film Wave Twisters. CD’s liner notes, some reprinted below, include info on each track/artist, Platurn’s Vinyl Obiturary, and DJ SoleHole’s “THRIFTIN’ FOR A SCRATCH: The Hella Broke-Ass Style of DJ’ing”
